We have just received the new 2014 Dakine ABS Signal in the 25L – get yourselves ready for the winter season with this functional, backcountry pack complete with a fully integrated ABS Avalanche airbag system.

The back pack is split in separate sections with an avalanche safety equipment pouch which is separate from the main compartment. The main compartment contains an ice axe carry strap, bag compression straps, padded waist belt and an integrated rescue whistle with sternum strap.

Sebastein Toutants New Deck for 2014 – Buck Up Snowboard

Sebastein is a Canadian snowboarder and has been on the scene since 2006. After winning several five and six star TTR contest wins, as well as gold and silver medal performances, “Toots” as he’s well known, is on the right track in making it big.

Ride engineers have been working closely with Seb to build a snowboard that’s easy to ride out of the wrapper, but retains high-level performance. The board features Hybrid Twin Board Shape, Popwalls Sidewall Technology, Membrain Top Sheet, and much more technology.

Richard Branson plus 300+ riders break the World Record

On Sunday, Sir Richard Branson and 318 kitesurfers, who made up The Virgin Kitesurf Armada broke a World Record for the largest number of kitesurfers to complete a 46-mile course and raising money for a number of charities; Virgin Unite, Snow-Camp and The RNLI.

The route started from Hayling Island to Lancing, with a couple of stops at Pagham and Littlehampton until they finished in Lancing. More than 250 were needed at Hayling Island to beat the world record and with over 300 participants – they smashed it!

300+ kitesurfers took part

Some of those who joined Sir Richard Branson included four-time kite race World Champion Steph Bridge, the current men’s kite race European Champion and Youth World Champion, Olly Bridge, four-time British Kite Champion Lewis Crathern and members of Branson's family.

The World Records were smashed!

Sir Richard said: “Kitesurfing is one of the best sports there is, if not the best sport. Kiters are always up for a challenge and so I suspect next year there will be 600 kiters, and the year after that 900, and so on.”

Surf Expo 2013 - Slingshot 2014

Surf Expo is the largest and longest running boardsports and beach/resort lifestyle tradeshow in the world. Septembers Surf Expo in Orlando, Florida draws buyers from stores across the U.S., the Caribbean, Central and South America and all across the world. 2,200 booths and 7,000+ store fronts are set up, with over 20,000+ attendees and Angelo had the privilege to attend this awesome event. Special events including fashion shows, awards ceremonies and demos are all part of this event.

NEW RELEASE - O’Neill Nytrolite Foam

O'Neill have over 60 years of experience creating wetsuits, so they know a thing or two about designing and creating gear to keep everyone warm, dry and comfortable.

For 2014, O'Neill have created The Spring 2014 O'Neill Comp Vest line that features the Nytrolite Foam in four of their vests; their redesigned Gooru, Revenge Comp Vests, as well as the new Checkmate and Slasher front zip comp vests. The innovative designs are more buoyant, lighter and drier than we have seen yet.

"Nytrolite foam is constructed from a highly specialized cross-linked polyethylene, which is expanded using Nitrogen in an exclusive, proprietary process that cannot be duplicated. The foam is up to three times lighter than traditional PVC foam from other suppliers and it absorbs 15-20% less water due to the closed cell foam structure. The result is a foam that is ultra-light weight, virtually waterproof, and measurably more buoyant; making it possible for O'Neill to use less foam in each vest, without giving up any float.! - O'Neill
